主持国家自然科学基金、湖南省自然科学基金、湖南省教育厅科学研究等项目4项。参与国家重点研发计划、湖南省揭榜挂帅制项目、湖南省重点研发、湖南省科技成果转化及产业化计划等项目。以第一或通讯作者在Green Chemistry，Chemical Engineering Journal，ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering等SCI期刊发表论文46篇，第一发明人申请国家发明专利6项，其中授权4项，获得湖南省科技进步二等奖及木材与木制品流通协会科技发明一等奖等奖励3项。指导学生获得各类国家/省部级科技创新比赛奖励和项目20余项，多人次获得国家奖学金。
